MONTEREY, Monterey County — October 26, 2026. Monterey residents who nominated neighborhood improvements can follow the next round of review Wednesday, October 28, at 6 p.m. The city’s Neighborhood and Community Improvement Program (NCIP) Committee is scheduled to conduct its second review of nominated projects. Meeting documents and the packet are available in the city’s public agenda system.
NCIP allows residents to seek local improvements such as safer sidewalks, public spaces or street amenities. However, discussion of a project does not mean it is funded or approved for construction. The city must weigh eligibility, budgets, engineering costs and other constraints. Participants should review the actual project list and meeting packet to verify whether their suggestion is included. The next scheduled voting night is November 18; this week’s session is a review, not the final selection of every project.
